Rebecca Rushton, J.D.

Rebecca Rushton joined Robert W. Baird & Co. in May of 2026. Rebecca is currently a Senior Estate Planner for Baird’s Private Wealth Management Group. In this role, Rebecca  works closely with individuals and families to design comprehensive estate planning strategies, review existing estate planning documents, and answer questions related to estate planning and estate and trust administration.

Prior to joining Baird in 2026, Rebecca built extensive experience as an estate planning strategist for Mercer Advisors and an estate planning attorney, drafting and implementing estate plans ranging from standard Wills and Revocable Trusts to complex irrevocable trusts, including SLATs, ILITs, IDGTs, and CRUTs. She has worked with clients on estate and gift tax strategies, retirement account distributions, LLC formations, and estate and trust administrations, including matters involving multistate and international assets.

Rebecca was born and raised in North Carolina, graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.S. in Marine Science, and earned her J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law. Rebecca is also licensed to practice law in both North Carolina and Colorado.

In addition to her professional work, Rebecca spent many years as a Lead Estate Planning Practitioner with Wills for Heroes, where she trained volunteer attorneys, developed statewide estate planning resources, and helped provide estate planning services to first responders and their families.
